sweet little pilgrim

vermeer-esque
dress

I mentioned the other day that my friend asked me to make her daughter something else- a dress for their upcoming trip to the East Coast and Colonial Williamsburg (or was it Plymouth Plantation?) Either way, I finished it yesterday and it it is adorable. Made from this pattern, it was the most complicated dress I have ever sewn (and I made my own wedding dress!) I didn't line the bodice to keep it light-weight for the hot weather, so are were more exposed seams on the inside than I would normally like. Other than that, it turned out great, and she really seems to like it.

And the icing on the cake? In a few years after she has outgrown it, little N will probably get to wear it too. Happy Monday. J and I are going to make some lemon bars now! Shall I save you one?
